CAPACITY CLASS / 50 TON — MAINSTREAM
50 Ton Truck Scale for Logistics Parks
The 50 ton truck scale is the default specification for logistics parks, distribution centres and container drayage gates, the point where traffic volume, mixed axle spacing and unattended operation all arrive together.
Ask a logistics park what it needs from a weighbridge and the answer is rarely more tonnes. It is repeatable gross weight at gate speed, a deck long enough for mixed trailers, and data that reaches the yard management system without an operator in the booth. That is why the 50 ton class, not the largest one, is our most specified machine.
For longer wheelbases we move from the 3,500 x 1,000 mm standard deck to the 4,200 x 1,000 mm widened version, or to ZDG-type multi-platform combinations. The closed-cavity U-section weld keeps the deck stiff under off-centre container loads, and the 2,000,000-cycle third-party fatigue test is the number that matters when a gate runs hundreds of weighings a day.
This class is also where software becomes part of the specification. Pair the static deck with a data acquisition subsystem and the WIM line's unattended features, image capture with video linkage, offline local caching during network outages and multi-site central management, and a single park can be run from one control room.

FIG. 01 — Plan view, modular deck, not to scale
It clears most loaded rigid and articulated road vehicles with margin, fits a standard widened deck, and leaves headroom in the 150% overload rating of the load cells. Specifying bigger just in case usually buys a longer pit, not a better weighing.

FAQ
50 ton class questions
Can you build a non-standard deck size?
Yes. The published 3,500 x 1,000 mm and 4,200 x 1,000 mm decks are our starting points, and ZDG-type modular platforms let us match unusual axle spacing. Send the vehicle wheelbase and site footprint and we return a dimensioned proposal.
Do you provide installation guidance?
Our own installation and commissioning teams handle turnkey projects, and for distributor-led builds we supply foundation drawings, alignment tolerances, wiring diagrams and remote commissioning guidance.
Is an unattended weighing solution available?
Yes. The weigh-in-motion package supports 7x24 unattended operation, image capture with video linkage, local caching during network outages and multi-site central management.
What accuracy should I expect?
For dynamic weigh-in-motion the stated figure is +/- 0.5% of gross weight, with a single-axle class of E under the manual caliber. Static weighbridge accuracy is confirmed against the issued drawing during factory calibration for the chosen configuration.
Do you publish a price list?
We quote against a specification, not a catalogue number. Capacity, deck length, module count, static or WIM sensing, foundation type, software package, destination and incoterm all move the number, so a bare price would be misleading.
